ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CELL is the winged fire to the creative genius of an Engineering graduate. Entrepreneurship among engineering graduates is the need of the hour. When the world has become a global village, when international opportunities are flooding our doorsteps – students should not think in traditional terms. At EDC students are motivated to think out of the box, give flight to their imagination and innovation and start an enterprise and be their own boss. A nation's self-sustenance can be realized only through these individual efforts. Engineering students should not expect others to give them jobs; instead they shall think and act in terms of giving jobs to others. Entrepreneurship is the real test of an engineering mind. Concept, application, utility and society – this ought to be the right sequence. The objective of this CELL is to share that vital knowledge of building an enterprise. How to start an enterprise, how to approach the government for permissions, whom to consult at District and State level, what technical and financial support they can get, how to file a detailed project report, information about market requirements, conditions and opportunities - - these are some of the issues, the EDC tries to address at VITAM.
Under the umbrella of EDC on a periodic basis workshops and seminars are held in collaboration with the AP State Government and District Entrepreneurship Cell..
